As I was going into this new experience at LPBC, I was very nervous and a bit overwhelmed. Once I arrive here, I fell in love with it. The staff here are so amazing and they make everyone feel welcomed. As campers started arriving the first week, it was very interesting to see them grow all throughout the week. By the end of the week they didn’t want to leave and I thought that was just amazing! God was working through them so much that they seemed like different people. Going into my third week at camp, I really wanted to get more connected with the campers and to interact more with them since I am the Media Coordinator. I got really close with the Outpost group and enjoyed the time spent with them that I actually felt a part of this camp. These campers were very energetic and so nice. I had the chance to go swimming with a lot of campers and do a lot of activities with them. I really felt that God was with me every step that I took that third week. I really felt his presence that Monday night when I was in Outpost with the campers and two other counselors. We were all just enjoying Choco Tacos with the group and telling stories. Later that night was when I felt God around the most. He showed his presence when I was about to head back into camp. He is just so awesome and is/was there with me during everything. He is the one who made me stronger. As Joshua 1:9 says: “Be strong and courageous, do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord God is with you everywhere you go.” We will all have awesome weeks, and week three was mine. I am so blessed that God called me to serve here at LPBC.
