Toward the beginning of the summer I had many things on my mind. I struggled a lot with my college decisions. I had to decide which college would still fit me the best. I went on a whim by reapplying to a school for my sophomore year of college. I didn’t think too much of it because I mostly ruled it out as a possibility. After going through the rest of the application process and finalizations, I had started working at camp.
At camp there is not an over abundant amount of free time which occupied my mind from having to think about the decisions to come. One day at camp I was praying and I felt the holy spirit just moving through me. Everything felt right with God, and I told him to lift the burdens of my heart, and to show me what he wanted me to do with my life. Since then I feel like I have been “living in the moment,” and many blessings have come into my life since then.
One day when visiting home over the summer my father asked, “So did you take a look at the offer school gave you?” To which I replied, “No, why?” It turns out that this school I reapplied to had become just as likely to happen as the school I was currently enrolled.
That was enough of a sign for me that God had shown me and guided my life to where it should go. Thanks to the holy spirit in helping me realize my blessings and what God has to offer me.
